Kettle Brand Potato Chips! The First Non-GMO Project Verified Potato Chips.

Dont worry you chip lovers! Here are some chips you can enjoy! They also have a baked version, which i actually find really good, very crunchy for being baked!

''We cook our chips using only the finest all-natural, non-GMO ingredients. We use no trans fats, no MSG, no artificial colors or flavors, no list of ingredients you can't pronounce. In fact, we're the first potato chip to be verified by the Non-GMO Project. There's nothing fake about our chips at all. Because if it's not a real, all-natural ingredient, it has no business getting anywhere near our potato chips. And no business getting near your mouth.''

    1. This company also makes an organic variety. I don't know why they didn't mention that. Their chips are great... I have to be careful not to eat too many!

  4. How can they be gmo free if they're not organic? If they're not organic then surely they're genetically modified? hmmm

    1. Why? Just because they might use a pesticide means they are GMO? In my opinion, if you use a safe pesticide and non-monsanto seed, that means you are using appropriate (safe) amounts.

    2. organic means grown without pesticide, GMO mean nsterting a rogue gene onto the plant which has drastic effect on health later on
Conventional growing uses pesticides are not GMO

    4. GMO means they are not the real thing, they are a hybrid. In other words the seed is modified. It is not the real thing.

    5. no, not a hybrid, which is the result of crossing two different species, like a mule is a horse crossed with a donkey. It is sterile. GMO means that with new technology they go in and tamper with the actual genes, and make a species that could not happen with cross-breeding, or random breeding. Like now they put genes in the wheat to make it very short, or make it Roundup resistant.

They have been breeding hybrid seeds for decades, only recently GMO

  5. No, organic means grown without chemicals like bug spray ext. This means they're potatoes are grown with pesticide but are not genetically modified organisms made to look like potatoes

  9. I wrote to Miss Vickys chip company. They claim their chips are also nongmo

  10. I notice they list features on packages. Some say no MSG while other "flavors" do not make such a claim in the features list on the package. Conclusion? More spicy varieties are tainted by this dangerous chemical. Caveat emptor.

    1. Don't they use canola oil for frying? Read up on the oil.

    2. what is wrong with canola oil? Unless the canola oil is processed from GMO canola you can cook with it. Having said that, how do we know if the canola oil used was not processed from a GMO product?

    3. Google "Rapeseed to Canola" and read up on it. Canola is genetically engineered. I wouldn't use canola oil to cook food even if they paid me.

  11. I've found the sunflower oils that many companies use causes bloating and some rather unpleasant effects. Heated sunflower oil according to some sites is bad for health. Many companies also use non stick equipment to fry their foods and contains PFOA, phthalates and fluoride. The problem organic produce from Israel and the Middle East is that it's heavily contaminated with DU dust as well as other materials including those used by Israelis against Palestinians and Americans against Afghans, but the spread is wide with heaviest fallout over Iran. There really is no safe place on the surface of Earth as Chernobyl and Fukushima have their radiation to cover everywhere else. Iodine fpr the thyroid and boron for the body may help.

  13. having avoided these modern snack foods all my life i find it amusing that people eat these foods at all. Such foods have always tasted odd to me so unnatural that i doubt if they can make an organic version or an actual healthy version. "don't panic - its organic" should be your catch cry. like Cuba (a moral cess pit until the Americans were thrown out)we should switch to organic farming it will solve many problems including some unemployment. right now there is plenty of money about it is just that the corporations are hogging it because we allow them to. Don't do business with them unless you really have to. I grow some of my own food and it is amazing how much less living costs when you do that.

  14. Keep in mind that the potato belongs to the family of the deadly nightshade plant, the atropa belladonna, whose solanine glyco-alkaloids CAUSE arthritis. US Agric Dept. Study 1974.

And that the potato is very high in the plant allergen phloridzin, (unless rolling boiled for 5 minutes). Phloridzin inflames the brain's pituatary gland which then degrades. These parts join up with other 'players' to form the cancer nucleus, needed to start and fuel all malignancies. Clark H R, PhD ND, 2007.

  15. Yippee and yahoo! This is good news indeed; finally maybe I quit calling chips 'seizure in a bag' referring to most plain chips and 'insta-seizure' being that of doritos and cheetos. I love Buffalo Blue.

Thanks for spoiling the fun :) Pituitary Anon, you are absolutely right and my potato addiction is ready and willing to testify.

  16. It's a start, but kind of defeats the purpose if they're still using pesticides that are manufactured by Monsanto.
